PRESS RELEASE: Elizabeth Graham Joins the Take the Leap! Team

December 28, 2021

Montreal, Quebec

Sonia Di Maulo, Founder & Chief Reinvention Officer of Harvest Performance, Inc., is excited to announce the 2021 addition of Elizabeth Graham to the team leading the award-winning Take the Leap! Make an Impact Program, joining in the role of Expansion Partner.

Elizabeth officially joined the program team as course designer in June 2020 to transition the blended program to an online format for post-secondary environments. Elizabeth’s strong, diversified human-centric skill set and professional background make her a strong candidate for this new role that requires agility and drive. She recently completed her undergraduate degree in Human Relations at Concordia University, and is both an alumna and steadfast supporter of the Take the Leap! Program.

For Ms. Graham, this is an opportunity to have a positive impact on endless peers and to share a framework that has deeply influenced the choices she’s made. She is committed to seeing the program thrive in postsecondary and corporate environments in support of the program’s vision, Grounding Emerging Leaders in Purpose and Prosperity.

There have been many wonderful contributors during each iteration of Take the Leap! supporting the 5284 people who have experienced the program since 2019, and the current design and trajectory would not be what it is without their involvement. As the program expands, Elizabeth’s role is critical to this growth.

After a successful run as a blended, in-person program in 2019, Take the Leap! received the 2020 Award of Excellence (AOE) for Outstanding Human Performance Intervention by The International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI). Before the pandemic, the program identified a need to transition to an online blended format and to focus on post-secondary environments. Since this new format launch in Fall 2020 the program has been improving and iterating ever since now starting its third cohort.

The experiential program combines story-telling, a systems-thinking community-based approach, positive education and inclusive online learning techniques, which Elizabeth contributed to designing and developing using the Moodle learning management system at Concordia University.

Concordia University supported the launch of Take the Leap! and was made possible through funding received since 2020 by the Concordia University Part-Time Faculty Association (CUPFA), The Office of the Dean of Arts and Sciences, The Experiential Office, Dean of Students - Concordia Council on Student Life (CCSL) and Concordia University Alumni Association (CUAA). Continued support is received by District 3, whose mission is to nurture and develop multidisciplinary startup teams that harness emerging tech to create businesses with global impact. In Winter 2022, we are honoured to partner with Concordia Advancement to link the program with their Alumni Connect platform.

As feedback is collected and research is conducted, Sonia and Elizabeth are in conversation with a handful of other post-secondary institutions, also committed to grounding emerging leaders in purpose and prosperity with a special focus on graduate students and students pursuing continuing education.

This process has been eye-opening and has demonstrated that the growth, reach and impact of the program and integration to new systems with new institutional partners requires a bigger team! Elizabeth is joining to ensure that the program can maintain its trajectory and help as many emerging leaders as possible, in school and in organizations, regardless of which new obstacles or obligations arise.

The team is also researching the program’s vision and effectiveness on senior secondary students through a new partnership with Universidad Tecmilenio, an innovative university that addresses global mega-trends and the changing demands of the world of work, by empowering students to develop their life purpose and become active and engaged participants in designing their own educational journey. Given our shared goals, a joint-research project is a perfect match. More exciting information coming soon on this research joint-venture.

Take the Leap! has the primary goal to engage students to complete the program with a living legacy plan that reflects a deep vision grounded in meaning and purpose. Through applying the Growth Framework, the program impact explores an increase in clarity, awareness, engagement, well-being and resilience.

As society changes, institutions adapt, and organizations increase their agility, emerging leaders are looking to find focus and calm at the centre of the chaos regarding their life choices in school and in the workplace. In scaling Take the Leap!, more students can take confident strides into their future and outcomes. Furthermore, the program will continue to reflect and integrate what students are teaching us, and will further the collective knowledge around what students need, to thrive.

Sonia welcomes Elizabeth’s contribution as they work towards their mission of providing every post-secondary student in Canada with a Living Legacy Plan that boasts their clarity and confidence to bring their unique knowledge, skills, passions and purpose to our world.
