PROGRAM GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

  • Our goal is to engage Leapsters (those enrolled in a Take the Leap! Program) to complete the program with a living legacy plan that reflects a deep vision grounded in meaning and purpose.

  • By the end of the program, Leapsters will be able to use the growth framework to:

    • Acquire self-assessment skills which lead to purpose-focused decisions

    • Enhance clarity, engagement, and resilience in navigating life choices

    • Apply purpose-grounded choices in 70% of decisions when uncertainty occurs.

  • The course is designed to:

    1. Help you engage in deep reflection through thought-provoking questions.

    2. Share those reflections with others in a safe space both online and on Zoom.

    3. Encourage action today and in the future.

    4. Guide you from start to finish along this adventure.

There are no courses fees to pay and the program will not appear on your transcript.

The only investment required is to purchase the course text and workbook, priced at $40 CAD.

When you complete the program, you will be reimbursed.

Your commitment to completing the full program is a pre-requisite to acceptance. Of course the program is flexible so that you can complete it at your own pace and the Take the Leap! Guides are in place to ensure you have support along the way.

PROGRAM PACING

  • I commit to working independently and collaboratively within my small group PODS of participants with full respect, care, and in support of growing together, in creation of community.

  • I can complete the program on my own pace week by week and this will take a minimum of 60 minutes, outside of online live Peer Mentoring events, every week for the duration of the program.

  • There may be questions or activities that feel uncomfortable. This is by design. When I feel like this, it's my cue that I am on the right track. I will take the time I need to reflect (think out loud) and then do the activities (actions, journals, sharing with your PODs) when the time is right for me. There is no need to feel guilty for falling behind. The Take the Leap! team is there to help you stayy on track.

PROGRAM SUPPORT

  • I have access to Peer Mentors and other TTL! Guides to support me and will fully embrace their wisdom, help, and listening ear.

  • I will attend Zoom events with all Leapsters to review, discuss, share and plan. These events will take place on Saturday mornings at 10am (Oct 26, Nov 2, Nov 9, Nov 16). These events will be recorded.

  • In addition, every week, I will attend Peer Mentoring small group sessions (in my POD). These will not be recorded to allow all Leapsters to share openly.

  • My group will be assigned a Peer Mentor - their role is to help me get to know each other so that I can make the most of the experience. The Peer Mentor will support the online discussions in my online POD.

  • Participants may find that discussing topics related to the self, project planning, and topics that relate to mental clarity triggering or stressful but fully acknowledge this not a course meant to address or discuss mental health or psychological issues.

  • Participants agree to take full, and timely responsibility to manage their participation and seek professional mental health services, by registered professionals in their own jurisdiction, if they wish to address any stress or distress, at any level at their own cost outside this program.

  • Participants hold Harvest Performance and course leadership harmless from any claim forthwith and acknowledge Harvest Performance is not liable for any distress perceived by the participant resulting from participating in the program.

  • Participants are expected to use judgement, and carefully think about what they choose to share and cannot be guaranteed privacy and confidentiality for information they wish to share with instructors or fellow participants. If participants are unable to manage boundaries about what is shared appropriately, as determined by Harvest Performance leadership, leadership may suspend the participant without notice or reason.

  • Participants acknowledge this is not a course that serves as any substitute for psychotherapy or mental health treatment. This course focuses on increase in clarity to gain enough knowledge of self as this relates to project/career planning and professional profile/entrepreneurial endeavors.

  • Participants recognize this is an opportunity where their participation is funded by graduate studies within their educational institution and this is a privilege, and commitment to participate, within a community.

PROGRAM TEXTBOOK

  • I will purchase the Take the Leap! Starter Kit which includes a workbook of activities and the textbook required for the program at a total cost of $40 (plus taxes). Once I complete the program, I will be reimbursed.

  • The electronic materials will provide me with access to the activities and questions that I can reflect on and answer away from a computer, if I wish. We hope you can enjoy the program both in front of a computer, or on the couch in your favourite location with or without internet connection.

PROGRAM PROMOTION & RESEARCH
