Strong communities don't happen by chance. They are cultivated. Rooted in the panel presented at the Canadian Association of African Studies (CAAS) 2026 Conference, we'll explore how repeatable human capabilities strengthen people, organizations, and communities in times of uncertainty.

About the Experience!

About this Event

Our inaugural Impact Exchange explored how healthy social ecosystems help people and communities flourish.

Now we continue the conversation.

Earlier this year at the CAAS 2026 Conference, Take the Leap! partners joined an international panel to explore one important question:

How do we prepare people to thrive when change is no longer an exception, but a constant?

This Impact Exchange builds on that discussion by moving beyond the conference stage into an interactive conversation with educators, employers, community leaders, researchers, and practitioners.

Together we'll explore how organizations, educational institutions, families, and communities can cultivate repeatable human capabilities that people can draw upon throughout life, regardless of changing circumstances.

Together we'll explore

• Why many systems continue preparing people for stability while the world demands continual adaptation

• The repeatable human capabilities that strengthen resilience, leadership, purpose, and contribution

• What intergenerational learning teaches us about preparing future generations

• Practical examples from education, community development, and leadership practice

• How purpose-driven ecosystems help people continually reinvent themselves while strengthening the communities around them
