Sonia Di Maulo, award-winning author and scholar, Certified Reinvention Practitioner, and Part-Time Professor and her team bring you Take the Leap! Make an Impact, a program specially designed with the student in mind. Learn more at www.theleap.ca.

This experiential fully online program combines story-telling, a systems-thinking community-based approach, positive education and inclusive online learning techniques.

You will experience a vibrant online community of like-minded students led by a dedicated dynamic team. Sonia Di Maulo and alumni of Take the Leap!, are committed to guiding and supporting your journey. A series of daily reflective, thought-provoking activities will propel you to discover, create, embrace, and breathe life into your living legacy. The time commitment is a minimum of 2 hours per day (January 8-12, 2024).

This first-of-its-kind curriculum supplements any program of study for students at every level. Take the Leap! brings balance: mix of academics, well-being and character development.

Our goal is to engage students to complete the program with a living legacy plan that reflects a deep vision grounded in meaning and purpose. 

 

By the end of the program, students will be able to use the growth framework to:

  • Acquire self-assessment skills which lead to purpose-focused decisions.

  • Enhance clarity, engagement, and resilience in navigating life choices.

  • Apply purpose-grounded choices in 70% of decisions when uncertainty occurs. 

  • Connect and share with others to apply their plan over time.

This program is fully funded. There is no cost to apply or to join, if you are accepted.

This Take the Leap! Purpose Lab is open to students currently enrolled at the following colleges: Dawson, Vanier, John Abbott, Marianopolis, and Champlain.

Deadline to submit your application: December 28th, 2023 (midnight)

The program accepts 25 students.

All students are welcome to apply.

You will be notified of your acceptance by Dec 29, 2023.

We are excited to read your application for selection.

This program is for you if: 

  • You are looking to increase your clarity, engagement, and resilience at school and in life.

  • You can commit to fully participating in the program between January 8-12, 2024 between noon-1:30pm. Events will be recorded.

  • You welcome opportunities to learn and grow with other students across other programs and schools.

  • You are excited to learn more about yourself, your purpose and how to use it in positive ways in your life and future careers.

The program experience is 1.5 hours a day every day the week of January 8-12, 2024. Additional time may be required to complete the exercises.

Consider a minimum of 2 hours a day to complete the activities. This timing is approximate - you can invest as much or as little time as you want.

This program will help you learn about your 4Ps (Powers, Principles, Passions, and Purpose) which will develop into a plan to a Living Legacy Plan.

Your learning will be live online, offline, in groups and self-directed. We will be using an online platform to deliver the activities and Zoom for the live sessions.

You will have an opportunity to meet in large groups and small groups with Peer Mentors every day.

The purpose of this program is to ground you in purpose and prosperity for today and in the future. The tools you will learn can be used for life.

The Take the Leap! Purpose Lab will help you plan for a learning experience this semester like no other. We will support you before, during and at the end of the semester to help you follow your plan.

The program runs for 5 days, 1.5 hours a day, January 8-12, 2024.
